FAQs

How much do sessions cost? Do you take insurance?

All session fees are $120 and are due at the time of your session. I do not take insurance and I am not on insurance panels. I can provide you with paperwork that you can file to receive any out-of-network benefits with your insurance company. Most people get some form of reimbursement!

Is there a cancellation fee?

If you do not give at least 24 hour notice before cancelling or rescheduling, you will automatically be charged $60, half of your session fee.

What do I expect out of my first session?

So often, the hardest step is making that first appointment and sticking to it! Almost every time, each one of my clients comes in nervous and unsure but leaves that first session relieved and looking forward to the next time.

I will give you clear instructions through email about how to find our office and what to bring with you. If virtual, I give you a link to follow and clear directions via email for easy reference. Nothing should feel confusing or unclear and I want you to feel taken care of!

How long do sessions last?

Each session is 50-minutes long and I work hard to start and end on time so that you can plan your time well.

How often do I have to come to sessions? How long do people stay in therapy?

Research has proven it over and over again - therapy is most effective when you come once a week. I always encourage clients to come weekly for the first month at least. The frequency of your sessions is always something we will decide on together so that the process makes sense for your life and for your finances.

I have clients who stay in therapy for 1-3 months and feel ready to stop, others who come for a year, and others who come monthly for multiple years simply because it’s a form of self-care that feels life-giving and important to them. We can decide together what makes sense for you. Ending therapy is a personal decision and I support you wholeheartedly and with such joy when you are ready for that step!

What is your availability?

I have availability on Wednesdays from 9AM-7PM, Fridays from 10:00AM-1:00PM, and occasional Saturdays for monthly clients. If I am not available for a time you need or if I fill up with clients, I will always offer you names of therapists I trust and in whatever area of the city would be ideal for you.

What ages do you see? Do you see couples?

I see adults only, ages 18+. I have wonderful names of other therapists I can give you if you want resources for your child. I do see couples on a limited basis.

Where is your office located? Do you offer virtual appointments?

My office is conveniently located off of Peachtree Dunwoody Road near GA-400, I-285, and Perimeter Mall. In the lobby, you’ll find complimentary coffee, snacks, and water. My hope for ever client is to feel a sense of peace and welcome as soon as they enter the office!

Yes, I offer virtual appointments! I use a HIPAA compliant platform and I give easy-to-follow instructions that make it simple and quick to connect! At this time, counselors are not allowed to see clients across state lines so you must be a Georgia resident to see me virtually.
